Introduction:
Modernization of the manufacturing industry significantly increases the vehicle volume on road. To implement an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) the volume of traffic on a road should be known. Our AI based image processing solution is the best way to detect vehicle volume on a road in comparison to other traditional techniques. The vehicles are classified into two categories according to our proposed AI solution in Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) & Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV). Transportation planning and management needs accurate and timely information which is possible only with our image processing tool.

Process:
The image is captured through camera for the vehicle entering into the frame of camera and then it is processed to find the kind of vehicle it is. Then images are trained on a Machine Learning model based on certain algorithm for identifying & classifying the vehicle type i.e. Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) & Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV). It will count the vehicles and also gives the frequency of the vehicle passing through a specific location.
